MACOR

Macor, also known as Macor ceramic, is a machinable glass-ceramic material with excellent technical properties. Compared to other ceramics, Macor can be worked with ordinary metal tools. This problem-solving material combines the performance of a technical ceramic with the versatility of a high-performance plastic. Macor has no porosity and does not outgas when fired correctly. It is strong and rigid and will not deform like a high temperature plastic. Macor's machinable glass-ceramic is also radiation-resistant.
